I originally saw this awesome crayon melting art idea on pinterest, and like a ton of other people, couldn’t resist the urge to make my own.
I found great instructions for it here.
All I needed was:
- a canvas
- a couple of boxes of crayons
- hot glue gun
- hair dryer
- a couple of hours
I laid out all the crayons in rainbow order and then started gluing them to the canvas with a hot glue gun. Caution: I sustained minor burns to five of my fingers during this phase of the project. Ouch.
Once everything is glued on, I leaned the canvas up and turned the hair dryer to it’s hottest setting. My hair dryer was pretty powerful so it blew a lot of the wax in different directions as it melted, which blended the colors a little more than some of the other crayon art projects I’ve seen. It also sprayed some colorful dots of wax all over the patio. I probably should have put some newspaper down first.
Final Product:
It was fun. I’ll probably do it again.

What a neat story here, Beneficial item I enjoyed it very much, really cool!!!!!!!! Maricela Prestipino
